Kickers are people, too. And sometimes they do impressive things. What I’m trying to determine is if a 71-yard field goal in practice is impressive.
The strong-legged kicker here is Drew Galitz, who is committed to Baylor. His long-range bomb came during practice — which is a much different animal than doing it in-game.
Galitz definitely benefited from a lack of rushing and a lack of pressure.
On the other hand, 71 yards!
One thing is for sure: the last thing Baylor needs — if you’re an opponent — is another offensive weapon.
