As a Browns fan, I’m sort of forced to dislike Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger because, you know, he’s on our biggest rival, has owned us in games he’s played against Cleveland and, oh yeah, my Browns are so crappy at doing their jobs that they once passed over Big Ben in the draft even though he grew up in Ohio.
But after seeing this video of Roethlisberger training with Navy SEALS while at a shooting range, I have to say, I respect the shit out of him.
Going with his dad, Ben got some sniper training on the TV show Gridiron Outdoors with Mike Pawlawski, talking about why he wanted to do it, per The Big Lead:
“You think of all the dream jobs,” he said. “I wanted to be like James Bond or a ‘Top Gun’ fighter pilot, the bad dude that’s a sniper that could shoot someone from a mile away. It’s kind of pretty cool.”
The dude is a two-time Super Bowl champ and a possible Hall of Famer, but he’s talking about something other than being an NFL quarterback as a dream job? That’s kind of boss.
