The season to shred mountains on ski or snowboard is coming to a close for a lot of areas and that means annual pond skim competitions are upon us. So, I scoured the cybersphere for the best pond skim videos, making sure to give points to the most ridiculous costumes, the flashiest crashes, and, if I’m being honest with myself and with you guys, the freshest soundtracks and edits. I’m a sucker for production value.
With summer right around the corner, there’s no better way to say goodbye to the cold powder so many carved over the winter months by watching ski bums and snowboarders risk serious injury. I’d love to see the final tab for the medical bills coming out of this event. This is like a doctor’s wet dream. Literally and figuratively.
I wanna know what happened to the guy in the photo. So, you win a pond skim championship. You’re a pond skim champion. You get the girl, right? He’s definitely compensating with the bulge but it’s not the size of your pole, it’s how you use it. Plus, what’s up with the kid in the background having a mustache? That lil’ guy deserves an honorable mention.
