The Patriots picked up wide receiver Michael Floyd after he was released from the Cardinalss following a DUI arrest in Scottsdale, Arizona where police found him asleep behind the wheel of his car at a stop light.

Floyd had a .217 blood-alcohol level at the time of his arrest, which could fall under the category of a “super extreme DUI,” per Arizona law, which carries a mandatory sentence of 45 days in jail, according to Business Insider.

The 27-year-old Notre Dame alum isn’t scheduled to be back in court until February 22 so he’ll likely play out the rest of the season with the Pats, whose head coach is getting peppered with questions from the media about the controversial signing. At this point, Belichick is nuanced in answering to high-profile and/or disputed signings (See: Tim Tebow, Albert Haynesworth). Check out his technique below.

When she tells you on the first date that she doesn’t drink.

I’d love to be a fly on the wall to witness how Belichick handles arguments with his wife.

If you haven’t seen the Michael Floyd DUI video, it’s worth your time. The dude is blind drunk.

The anti-drug people gave him a $50 savings bond for his brave contribution to crime-fighting, and upon the bond’s maturity 10 years later, he used it to buy his very first bag of marijuana.
