Last season, D’Angelo Russell did the unspeakable by recording teammate Nick Young confessing he had cheated on his fiancee Iggy Azalea in a video that later surfaced online. For the rest of the season, his teammates often treated him like a virus, avoiding him while celebrating and ostracizing him in the locker room.

A snitch is a tough odor to shed, and a year later, it still lingers.
New Knicks guard Brandon Jennings was recently asked if he thought the 20-year-old Russell could be an All-Star this year, considering he’s putting up impressive numbers through the first five games (16.3 ppg, 4.3 assists, 3.7 rebounds). The 27-year-old Jennings responded with a compliment, and then brought the hammer down before deleting the tweet all together.
It was truly an unforgivable thing what Russell did to his teammate, but the memes the incident created will live on forever. And for that, I thank him.

Nick Young should’ve known better. Pretty obvious D’Angelo Russell is always recording when he’s around him. pic.twitter.com/ARFQMPgxHI
