Brazil Opened Up the World Cup With a Terrible Own Goal

After four years of counting down, World Cup 2014 kicked off in Brazil. Within 10 minutes, we had the first goal of the tournament, and, not surprisingly, Brazil was involved.

The only problem? It was on the wrong goal.

The unlucky bastard who got things off on the wrong foot is Marcelo. It’s going to be a lonnnnnnnnnnnnnng day for him if Brazil doesn’t come back to win against Croatia.

Luckily for Marcelo — and everyone else in the host country — Neymar dribbled in an equalizer to level things up before halftime.
