Breaking: LeBron James Announced Before Cavs’ Parade That He’s Returning To Defend His Title

Sorry about your luck, Los Angeles, Miami or anywhere else hopeful basketball fans had of signing LeBron James once he hits free agency next month, because the three-time NBA champ just announced before the Cavs’ victory parade that he’s not going anywhere.

Per Cleveland.com, here’s what LeBron said:

“I love it here. I love being here. I love my teammates,” James told cleveland.com, moments before he boarded a float at The Q for the Cavs’ championship parade through downtown Cleveland. “Obviously my agent will take care of all the logistical things but, I’m happy. I’ve got no plans to go nowhere at this point.”

Of course, anything can happen—especially for paranoid Cleveland sports fans like myself who read into every single word he used as a sign that he could leave—but, as of right now, it looks like he’s staying to defend the title.

To ease those concerns, Jams also added, “This is the happiest time in my life right now,” so that should be a pretty solid indicator that he’s already made up his mind. It’s all about #TheLand in LeBron’s eyes.
