Notre Dame coach Brian Kelly entered today’s practice atop a horse for … reasons. I am not entirely sure how this will help the Fighting Irish win football games but, then again, I am just a dude who rarely rides horses.
I do know the school once had a backfield comprised of four horsemen. This formation, of course, was outlawed long ago after the equine left a trail of dead defenders in their wake.
One thing’s for sure: Kelly looks like a natural up there.
