Broncos Safety Ryan Murphy Questioned In Prostitution Sting Before Super Bowl

Denver Broncos safety Ryan Murphy was questioned in a prostitution sting on Tuesday night by the Santa Clara county sheriff’s office. Murphy was not arrested in the sting. His brother was charged with solicitation according to the San Jose Mercury.

According to sources, police detained a suspected prostitute in the area of a Motel 6 at North First Street and Brokaw. The woman told task force members that she had to go to a car to retrieve some property.

Murphy was inside that car along with his brother. Sources said Murphy was questioned and released by police. However, his brother and the suspected prostitute were cited.

Murphy, a practice squad player for the Broncos, was immediately sent home to Denver by head coach Gary Kubiak after the incident.
