Cam Newton’s Mom Sent Him A Motivational Text Before The Biggest Game Of His Life And I Am Inspired

After posting one of the most productive seasons in NFL history at the quarterback position, 26-year-old Cam Newton was deservingly awarded the NFL’s most valuable player. As USA Today notes, if Newton wins the Super Bowl today, he will be only the second player in NFL history to have won the Heisman Trophy, a college national championship, an MVP award and a Super Bowl. The only other person to do that is Hall of Fame running back Marcus Allen.

As Newton gears up for the biggest game of his life, his mom shot him an inspirational text message, which he shared with his nearly 2 million Instagram followers.
