Throughout the NFL season, everyone who watched the Carolina Panthers play was so used to Cam Newton smiling, jumping around and dabbing on fools that we almost forgot that he’s a human who gets sad sometimes, too.
Newton showed that rare emotion following his team’s loss in Super Bowl 50, when he played the worst game of the season against a Denver Broncos D that brought so much heat you’d think there was a fucking fire inside Levi’s Stadium.

After seeing his favorite player so sad, eight-year-old Stephen Graham wanted to do something for his hero, so he sent him a letter and a paper Lombardi Trophy to help lift this year’s NFL MVP’s spirits.
Saying he just wants to help a friend when he’s sad, Stephen added, “When a friend falls down, the other friend always picks him up.” If that’s not a quote every bro should live by, I don’t know what is!
