I Can’t Believe What Hawks Guard Dennis Schroder Did After Getting Knocked In The Mouth Last Night

Football and hockey players might be tough, but don’t underestimate basketball players in that department, because Atlanta Hawks guard Dennis Schroder showed last night that he’s no pussy.

Driving the lane against the Portland Trail Blazers, the pint-sized point guard took a spill and lost the ball, hitting the floor pretty hard and, after further review, realizing that he had a damn tooth knocked out when his mouth hit he knee of a Blazers player.

Rather than freak out, though, the German simply picked up the tooth and put it in his sock so nonchalantly it’s as if it didn’t faze him.

Here’s more about the incident, per the Associated Press:

Schroder said he’ll visit his dentist “ASAP” on Tuesday. Hawks coach Mike Budenholzer said he liked the toughness he saw in Schroder and when Paul Millsap returned after tweaking his left ankle and leaving the game.

“I thought the competitiveness and the toughness, you could feel it tonight,” Budenholzer said. “We could breathe again when Paul came back in.”

Hockey players might think this is a common occurrence, but for an NBA player, it’s not everyday one is forced to hit up the dentist to get his tooth replaced.
