Indians Pitcher Carlos Carrasco Took A Line Drive Off His Face, Is Somehow OK

Despite taking a nasty line drive off his face last night, Carlos Carrasco was somehow able to escape serious injury.

Melky Cabrera’s comebacker grazed off the Cleveland Indians pitcher’s shoulder before striking him on the right side of his jaw. He understandably collapsed and was rushed to the hospital.

Luckily, X-Rays came back negative and there’s no sign he suffered a concussion. He does, however, have a nasty contusion.

Carrasco made it back to the stadium after being released and got to right work in the weightroom, according to his manager Terry Francona.

That’s a man who appreciates a good lift.
