Miami Heat’s Chris Bosh Will Miss The Rest Of The Season Due To Blood Clots In His Lung

The Miami Heat has announced that Miami Heat center Chris Bosh will miss the rest of the season wdue to blood clots on his lung.

MIAMI, February 21 – The Miami HEAT announced today that Chris Bosh will miss the remainder of the 2014-15 Season, while being treated for blood clots on his lung.

Bosh, who is receiving care under the guidance of Miami HEAT team physicians at a Baptist Health System Hospital, is currently resting comfortably. Chris is OK and his prognosis is good.

Bosh was admitted to the hospital on Thursday night with pain in his chest area. Initial tests were inconclusive but doctors suspected Bosh had a blood clot in his lung, and confirmed the diagnosis after further testing.

The blood clot should be treatable with blood thinning medication, but Bosh will be required to sit out and not perform any physical activity for at least six months if not longer.
