Claude Giroux FaceTimed The Late Ed Snider When The Flyers Clinched A Playoff Spot, And Is It Dusty In Here?

On Saturday, the Philadelphia Flyers clinched a wild card spot at the playoff table after going on an improbably torrid run of wins to close out the season. Unfortunately, the next day, long-time Flyers owner, Ed Snider, passed away after a lengthy bout with bladder cancer.

After skating off the ice following a 3-1 home win against Pittsburgh on Saturday, Flyers captain Claude Giroux took to FaceTime to send a very special message to Mr. Snider on behalf of the team.

It’s almost like Mr. Snider knew he could go in peace after hearing the news. There’s no doubt Giroux and the Flyers will continue their playoff run in the late owner’s memory, and he’ll surely be watching over them from above.

Man, it’s a bit dusty in here, eh?
