The economies of scale in UFC are downright ridiculous–each round is no longer than 5 minutes and a match that goes the distance last for 5 rounds. Conor McGregor dropped Eddie Alvarez in the second round and will likely make more than the estimated $8 million he made for beating Nate Diaz in the second round a few months back . That’s a stupid amount of money for less than 10 minutes of combat. Last night, McGregor hijacked the mic at NYC’s posh One Oak nightclub to take shots at Floyd Mayweather and demand a $100 million payout for a potential fight. McGregor is the king of protagonistic marketing and there isn’t one person in America who wouldn’t dip into their pockets to peep that fight. The dude is going to die richer than Trump. I’m in the wrong industry.
