Conor McGregor And Floyd Mayweather About To Sign Billion-Dollar Fight Deal And It All Started With One Comment

Floyd Mayweather wants to make UFC star Conor McGregor eat his trash talk — in a ring.

In what would easily be the biggest money fight in the history of boxing, there are rumors circulating that McGregor and Mayweather are just days away from officially signing on the dotted line to face off against one another in Las Vegas. The fight would not only make millions but both guys would walk away, win or lose, with a ton of dough.

Money Mayweather — currently retired with the joint best boxing record in history of 49 wins from 49 fights — is set to earn £100million in the boxing bout, while McGregor will take home £7million.

Both sides just have to agree on the purse and sign the paperwork — which sources say is imminent — and an announcement is likely to be made in the coming weeks.

I’ll save you the Googling — that’s $7.9 million for McGregor and over $144 million for Mayweather. And right here is where I’ve got to call bullshit, since the numbers are so one-sided, but first let’s get into the backstory. Remember this? Well…

A source told The Sun: “Floyd went mad after Conor said he would crush him and knock him out in 30 seconds, he’s obsessed with making Conor eat his words.

“Floyd is calling the shots. It’s strictly boxing and Conor will have to lose roughly 25lbs.

Losing 25 pounds for a guy McGregor’s size so that’s red flag #2. The money to Mayweather is slightly OUTLANDISH so that was the first red flag. The final piss on the parade is that MacGregor is still under contract to the UFC, and as resident MMA fan Jorge Alonso points out, “those contracts are iron clad.”

This could just be McGregor or Mayweather or their people putting rumors out to fan the flames.
