No one in the fight game, maybe in all of sports, is hotter right now than Conor McGregor. And when you’re hot you’ve got to take full advantage of it, something that McGregor is most definitely good at doing.

So this report that McGregor will be getting a role on Game of Thrones next season? It actually makes some sense for several reasons.

(1) He already looks the part.

(2) He lives in Ireland and Game of Thrones is partly filmed in Belfast.

(3) He’s buddies with “The Mountain” and has even sparred with him.

So why not?

Could UFC fighter Conor McGregor be about to star in Game of Thrones?

The dad-to-be is rumoured to be in talks to appear in one of the remaining two series of the hit HBO series which is partly filmed in Belfast.

The Sunday Life reports the 28-year-old Dublin man will star in the show.

A source told the paper: “It’s been agreed that McGregor will appear in one of the remaining two seasons of Game of Thrones.

“He was headhunted as it were by HBO, as one of the Game of Thrones directors is a huge UFC fan. They believed that he would be a perfect fit for the show.”

So will it actually happen? Knowing McGregor, I wouldn’t put it past him.
