The Chicago Cubs and Cincinnati Reds Played a Baseball Game No One Could See

by 4 years ago

Fans at the ballpark couldn’t see more than 100 feet, players couldn’t see home plate, and viewers at home didn’t fare much better. Here is a highlight reel of the lowlights.

The White Sox, playing on the other side of town, sensibly delayed their game against the Toronto Blue Jays until conditions were a little more playable.

The misty night was a day in the park, though, when compared to the city’s infamous Fog Bowl in 1988.

And that’s why you don’t build a major American city on a gigantic lake.
