D’Angelo Russell’s Ex Throws Shade At Him On Twitter After He Gets Traded To The Lowly Nets

It’s gotta be a tough day to get out of bed for D’Angelo Russell. The budding point guard was shipped out of Los Angeles and away from the Kendall Jenner clan and his Hollywood lifestyle for Brooklyn–a team that was dead last in the East last season with a nauseating 20-62 record.

And what’s worse, he was traded for Brook Lopez. And the No. 27 pick in the draft. But, Brook Lopez.

Anyone with a smidge of empathy would feel bad for Russell, especially after Lonzo Ball shit talked him and essentially ran him out of town. Well, not his ex-girlfriend and USC volleyball babe Niki Withers. Upon hearing the news, she took to twitter to express her delight.

The bad blood between the two is likely due to news breaking in September of last year of Russell leaving a Hollywood nightclub with TV host Jennifer Leon.

Withers was getting shaded in her subtweets for her seemingly inconsiderate tweet, but was promoted by a Twitter egg who said “D’Lo still smashed with ease.”

Matt’s love of writing was born during a sixth grade assembly when it was announced that his essay titled “Why Drugs Are Bad” had taken first prize in D.A.R.E.’s grade-wide contest. The anti-drug people gave him a $50 savings bond for his brave contribution to crime-fighting, and upon the bond’s maturity 10 years later, he used it to buy his very first bag of marijuana.
