Forget DeflateGate for a second, and let’s talk about one of the best stories in sports today — San Antonio Spur Danny Green is wearing special kicks tonight as a tribute to longtime ESPN sportscaster Stuart Scott. Scott recently passed away after a long battle with cancer.
Green and Scott both attended the University of North Carolina, and Green wanted to honor Stu in his hometown (Scott was born in Chicago) when the Spurs take on the Bulls tonight on national television. The shoes bear the name “Stu” and his favorite on-air catchphrase, “Booyah”.

Not only are the shoes sick, but what they stand for is pretty awesome — Stuart Scott was one of the greatest sportscasters out there. This is an awesome gesture by Danny Green, and one that the Chicago crowd, and anyone with a heart anywhere, is sure to appreciate.
