Despite Making Over $60 Million During His Career, Former NBA Star Darius Miles Loses Everything In Bankruptcy Sale

Darius Miles was once a promising NBA star having been picked very early in the first round by the Clippers back in the early 00’s but things came crashing quickly when he suffered a debilitating knee injury that cut his career short. Unfortunately for Miles he was not very good with his money and despite making over $60 million throughout his career, he is now dead broke and is being forced to auction off his treasured belongings to pay his creditors.

Over the weekend, Miles held a bankruptcy sale and TMZ sports has the list of the items that were sold.

The sale went down in Illinois. Here’s how it went.
— LeBron James signed jersey ($1,500)
— Larry Bird signed jersey ($100)
— AR15 firearm ($500)
— Beretta Cx4 Storm gun ($400)
— Self-contained karaoke machine ($75)
— Dirk Nowitzki signed shoe ($375)
— Lamar Odom signed shoe ($225)
— 5 VHS players (total of $21.50)
They even sold his toaster for $2.00
There was a lot more stuff — and in total, Miles got $12,780 from the sale.

This is a pretty big bummer for me. I remember growing up watching Miles and Quentin Richardson on those 00′ Clippers teams and rooting pretty hard for them.
