A Date And Venue Has Reportedly Been Set For The Floyd Mayweather Vs. Conor McGregor Superfight

Over the weekend Floyd Mayweather said that he was officially “out of retirement” in order to fight Conor McGregor.

“Today, I’m officially out of retirement for Conor McGregor,” said Mayweather. “We don’t need to waste no time. We need to make this shit happen quickly. Let’s get it on in June.”

Of course, we’ve heard similar rumors like this before. Over and over and over. The last time happening in February when it was “reported” that Mayweather and McGregor had agreed to terms with a date announcement forthcoming.

As it is, McGregor is still in the gym, working on his boxing skills, which leads most to believe he is more focused on that than on MMA…

But NOW, now we have even more kindling to add to the fire with regard to a Mayweather-McGregor superfight as FloCombat reports that a date and venue are being held for the fight.

Floyd Mayweather versus Conor McGregor may actually happen ladies and gentlemen, and if it does the fight has a home.

Sources close to FloCombat have confirmed T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas has put the June 10 date on hold for the mega-fight between Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor.

This news of course does not mean the fight is official or is guaranteed to happen, but the largest arena in the fight capital of the world reserving a date certainly means the fantasy bout is moving closer to reality.

Last week the pound-for-pound boxing great announced he’s officially out of retirement and the sole intention of that move is to fight the UFC superstar.

The date does match up with what Mayweather said, so does this mean there is actual fire to all of this smoke? Maybe, but I wouldn’t go booking a hotel reservation just yet.

In the meantime, the smack talk alone has been worth it even if the two of them never do actually fight.

Heck, maybe this is all a ruse for them to be surprise combatants at Wrestlemania? Mayweather has already been there and McGregor’s agent has even hinted at it.

Stay tuned.
