Here are some of my uncensored thoughts on this play:
For those of you, like me, who had no fucking clue who Dixon Machado was until last night, he is a shortstop that the Detroit Tigers signed in 2014. Also, he’s now my new favorite MLB player. Look, I’m not going to sit here and say that one play is what makes this kid great. But I’m also not not saying that. I mean, really, prove me wrong. If someone can prove to me that this kid who slid into a one-handed, no-glove catch isn’t going to turn out to be a great player, I’ll accept it. Show me the literature and I’ll back off. Until then, enjoy this video evidence of this kid proving you wrong.
