These Two Bros Use Their Drone To Catch A Tuna, One Of The Hardest Fighting Fish In The Ocean

I used to think that fishing with a drone was straight up cheating, but now that I’ve seen these bros fly their bait out into deep water and reel in a tuna I just don’t care anymore on whether or not it’s cheating. Frankly, I’m thinking about buying a large drone right now just so I can head out to the beach tomorrow morning and catch a tarpon.

This certainly isn’t the first time that we’ve seen dudes catching fish with drones, but this is the first time we’ve seen this sort of drone fishing. It would take a pretty unique beach, one where the drop off is quick and VERY deep, but this doesn’t seem hard to replicate at all. Just fly that big ass drone up there, wait until you see a school of game fish, drop your bait down and let the rabid sport fish do the rest.

Let’s check out that action once more in GIF, shall we?

Yup, I see zero problem with drone fishing after watching this. You’re still fighting the fish on a rod and reel, you’re just using the drone to get your bait into position instead of a boat or your boat’s sonar.

Interestingly, of all the tuna species on my list, the longfin tuna that they caught here didn’t make it on my list of The 25 Best Tasting Fish in the World.
