Several East Carolina band members followed in Colin Kaepernick’s footsteps and decided to kneel during the national anthem at Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium before the Pirates’ game on Saturday.

After the anthem, ECU’s home crowd loudly booed the band members who chose to kneel.
The band was again booed when they came out to perform at halftime.
