With very disturbing revelations being revealed on Thursday about the extent of the domestic abuse Giants’ kicker Josh Brown inflicted on his wife many people were shocked that he was even still in the league.
People like Steve Smith, Sr. even went so far as to say he would beat the shit out of Brown.
Now, with more details being uncovered as to how much the Giants and the NFL knew and when, the story has become even more shocking.
Speaking about the situation on Thursday, Giants’ owner John Mara admitted knowing about Josh Brown’s domestic violence tendencies and yet still signed him to a two-year deal earlier this year.
Giants owner John Mara on Josh Brown: "He admitted to us he'd abused his wife in the past. What's a little unclear is the extent of that."

One of the voices of reason to rise up out of this whole debacle is the mother of Giants rookie cornerback Eli Apple, Annie. Annie Apple is herself a survivor of domestic violence and as such felt it necessary to blast the Giants and Mara on Twitter over their lackadaisical attitude.
Unable to can…seriously. https://t.co/FkBULKhOu6

Don't know why it's difficult 4 folks to realize there's nothing remotely acceptable bout violence against women. No excuse no justification

I'm more sad than embarrassed. My heart breaks for a woman who had to live in fear for her life& daily safety. That makes me sad. Been there https://t.co/q3DR4ETzgv

It's one thing to like someone or even a team. It's a whole other thing to cosign the bullsh*t. Don't cosign the bull.

By the first time a domestic violence victim calls police, there are dozens of times b4 that she didn't. Takes courage to seek help, justice

And Molly Brown is somebody's daughter, sister, mother; more importantly a human. It's not about my son's boss. It's about Molly's suffering https://t.co/wiYfvDpCXB

Because someone signs your check, doesn't mean he or she owns your soul. The day you put that up for sale, your humanity ceases to exist.

Definitely not part of my life I like to talk about or relive. But it's important to speak up for someone who can't cuz she's ashamed. https://t.co/LBHVKi0MEU
