Unfortunately Kanter was traded to the Knicks today in the blockbuster Carmelo Anthony deal just a few days after that Tweet.
New York has agreed to a deal to send Carmelo Anthony to OKC for Enes Kanter, Doug McDermott and a draft pick, league sources tell ESPN.

Kanter apparently learned about the trade while at a charity basketball camp in Oklahoma City where he livestreamed himself hanging out with the kids. In the video you can see Kanter trying hard to not to react to user comments talking about the trade.
