For One Illustrious Day Only, You Can Watch ESPN 8 ‘The Ocho’

They say that life imitates art and it is true because ESPN will debut ESPN 8 “The Ocho,” which is of course modeled after the fictional sports channel based on the 2004 movie “Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story.” The programming for ESPN 8 will even have dodgeball. It’s a bold strategy, Cotton. Let’s see if it pays off for ’em.

The self-proclaimed worldwide leader in sports will debut ESPN 8 for one glorious day only. ESPN turns this fictional network that covered the Las Vegas International Dodgeball Invitational into a reality on August 8, which is 8/8/2017. ESPN will transform ESPN U into “The Ocho” so viewers can watch some interesting and unusual sports competitions that you might not see every day. “Bringing you the finest in seldom-seen sports from around the globe since 1999,” said fictional ESPN 8 broadcaster Cotton McKnight. “If it’s almost a sport, we’ve got it here.”

Here is the programming that you can begin enjoying at 12 a.m. on August 8, which of course includes trampoline dodgeball:

If they don’t have Cotton McKnight and Pepper Brooks in the broadcast booth, people will be pissed.

Darren Rovell will be tuning in for the historic debut of The Ocho.

This all goes down next week, so I will see you next Tuesday at midnight.
