Arizona High School Running Back Goes Bonkers For 566 Rushing Yards And That’s A New State Record

Ethan Johnson, have yourself a night bro!!!

On the way to a 46-41 win over Gilbert Higley High School, the senior running back out of Mesa Westwood ran wild and set a new single game Arizona state high school rushing record in the process. Johnson went for an utterly ridiculous 566 yards on 38 touches, producing a mind-boggling 14.9 yards per carry. Unheard of numbers!

Better yet, Johnson notched all 7 of his team’s touchdowns in the victory – a feat that’s sure to go down in Arizona high school football lore and likely won’t be replicated anytime soon.

Check out the beast mode-esque performance.

As MaxPreps points out, the previous state record was set in 2013 by Empire’s Sean Fitzsimmons when he rushed for 513 yards in a game, meaning Ethan Johnson bested him by more than 50 yards in Mesa’s first win of the season.

Way to run, bro!
