Czech snowboarder Eva Samkova has a bizarre ritual before every final round she competes in. You’d call having someone draw a fake mustache on your face bizarre, right?
But, hey, luck is a mysterious entity. Any edge is an edge.
Samkova continued the weirdness yesterday in Sochi before the deciding run of the snowboard cross. It predictably paid off as she took gold.
Per NBC Olympics, Samkova orders mustache stencils online after she and her teammates pick them out. The mustache is then drawn in with colored pencils.
I guess we can forgive her for stealing Carrie Brownstein’s schtick.
