The NBA is a reality show these days. Last week Isaiah Thomas had hoped that he wasn’t going to get traded with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

“I don’t [want to be traded],” Thomas said following Cleveland’s 140-138 overtime win over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday. “I’m tired of being traded. That’s not a good thing, but I just want to be where I’m wanted. I like it here. It hasn’t been as planned, but I definitely want to be here. We definitely have a real chance to win an NBA championship, and I want to be a part of that.”

Unfortunately for Thomas he was shipped off to the Los Angeles Lakers for Larry Nance and Jordan Clarkson in a blockbuster trade before the trade deadline.

After the trade, Thomas’s agent went on the offensive and blamed LeBron needing the ball too much as the reason IT didn’t work out for the Cavs.

He’s worked too hard to get back, and he’s a ball dominant player,” said Thomas’ agent, Aaron Goodwin. “It’s LeBron’s ball, and this clearly wasn’t working. Koby (Altman) and I have had enough conversations where it was clear, with the way the system was going, it wasn’t beneficial for either party. This is a good opportunity for Isaiah.”

Goodwin said Thomas did not ask to be traded. On Wednesday, Thomas said he didn’t want to be traded, but also that he wanted to play “where I’m wanted.”

It seems like IT is still kind of salty at LeBron because he liked a video of Kyrie Irving hitting a stepback shot on LeBron James on Instagram this afternoon.

So petty.
