Imagine if the Pop Warner Dallas Cowboys were able to lure Junior Floyd and Becky “The Icebox” O’Shea away from Danny O’Shea and the rag tag Little Giants. Say goodbye to one of the great coming-of-age movies of the 90s. Imagine if Jordan joined the Monstars rather than leading a band of losers in the Looney Tunes. Space Jam would never have been the highest grossing basketball movie of all time.
NBA Hall of Famer Isiah Thomas would love to live in that alternative universe, if his recent comments about LeBron James’ future is any indication.
Appearing on Tuesday’s First Things First on FS1, the two-time NBA champion suggested that LeBron James should join the Golden State Warriors if he decided to leave Cleveland.

If LeBron were to join the Warriors (which is a long shot despite reports that LeBron would take a meeting with the Warriors this summer if they are able to create a max salary opportunity on their roster), all five of the Warriors starters would be NBA All-Stars and three of its starters would have been named league MVPs. This move would essentially turn the NBA into a Harlem Globetrotters vs. 29 Washington Generals teams.
I didn’t spend 20 years pouring my heart and soul into the Celtics to have them be trounced by 100 in the Finals, if they’re lucky.
LeBron, I know you may be having a little existential crisis considering your team is just third in the East and you’ll be 34 next season. But, Vince Carter is 41 and he could have won the dunk contest this year! Don’t take the easy way out, believe in yourself!
