J.J. Watt Randomly Showed Up To Houston Basketball Courts To Pulverize Bros In Some 3-On-3

Houston Texans all-world defender J.J. Watt showed that he’s more than the most dominating football player on the planet by surprising dudes and lacing ’em up at a Houston playground for some basketball.

And then went out and dominated those poor dudes.

Watt, who’s recovering from offseason groin surgery, figured playing the role of Shaq down low would be a good rehab strategy, as he took to the blacktop against some random bros who had the difficult task of trying to stop him. It didn’t sound like they did.

Per Houston Chronicle:

“He just walked up with a ball like anyone else,” said the 17-year-old Cormier, Jr., who is going to be a senior at Westfield High School. “We were all like, ‘Is that really J.J. Watt?’ Then, we just started playing.”

“J.J. was the No. 1 pick, for sure. There was a little bit of trash talking, but not too much, because he’s J.J. Watt,” Cormier Jr., said. “Some people were scared to guard him though, because he’s so big.”

Standing 6’5″ and weighing about 290 pounds, Watt had no trouble pushing these poor kids around.

After ballin’ with the teenagers, the three-time Defensive Player of the Year made his way to Houston Fire Station 9 for a smaller game of pickup, with firefighter Paul Portis saying, “he just pulled up and had a basketball with him, and said, ‘You guys ready for some hoops?’ I think everyone’s jaw just dropped.”

The football season is still a few months away from starting, so Watt was just keeping his competitive flame burning as he beat up a few smaller guys around the rim.
