According to a report in the Chicago Tribune, a football autographed by Bears quarterback Jay Cutler at a charity auction to raise money for the Anti-Cruelty Society didn’t receive a single bid.
The report did state there weren’t many football fans at the auction and the item required a $100 dollar starting bid. But it’s still pretty embarrassing that Cutler couldn’t get any bids in a huge football town like Chicago.
Fortunately, the Anti-Cruelty Society was contacted almost a week later by an anonymous bidder, who purchased the football for $100.
