Jeremy Shockey Proves He’s A Mad Chill Bro By Spending New Year’s Eve At A Phish Show

NFL tight end Jeremy Shockey has a reputation for being a mad chill bro. He went to The U, has a tattoo of the United States flag and a bald eagle, and spends his off-seasons crushin’ life in Miami Beach. He also has superb tastes in music, spending his New Year’s Eve (and Day) the same way I did: At a Phish show in Miami. Here’s an Insta pic he snapped chillin’ backstage with Jon Fishman during the first night of the four night run at American Airlines Arena:

His seats were a little better than mine:

This wasn’t Shockey’s first rodeo with The Phish from Vermont. He’s been to many shows and used to run around with the band’s keyboard player, Page McConnell. In fact, Shockey took him to the 2003 Playboy Super Bowl party as a member of his entourage. Via New York Magazine:

Shockey’s entourage was characteristically eclectic. He brought Robert Bailey, his marketing agent, and Drew Rosenhaus, his football agent; a couple of Oklahoma high-school pals; his Humvee dealer; and Page McConnell, the keyboard player in Phish, Shockey’s favorite band.

“I ask him every so often if he’s got anything going on with a particular girl,” McConnell said, laughing. “Shockey says, ‘You know me—always on the rebound.’ ”

Bunny Jennifer sidled up to Shockey. Would the tight end like to squeeze her tail? He would.

Damn straight. That’s Bro King status right there. Your trip is short, Shockey:
