Johnny Manziel Kicked Out of Nike’s Football Camp Because the Security Guards Didn’t Recognize Him
Just a friendly reminder that not everyone in the world is as obsessed with Johnny Manziel as you think. Manziel, who signed with Nike earlier this year, was invited to be a camp counselor at Nike’s elite, invite-only football camp for high school players called “The Opening.” Except he was temporarily kicked out of the camp after security guards didn’t recognize him. Per Wahoos247 Insider Jamie Oakes, Manziel was asked by security at The Opening to leave the area. While this might raise some eyebrows based on recent events, it turns out the staff security simply did not know who ‘Johnny Football’ was. …
Oakes reports: ‘To Manziel’s credit, he didn’t bat an eye and walked off as requested.’
What a swell guy. Can I just mention how awesome it would be to have Johnny Manziel as a camp counselor? Story-time about his trips to Vegas to crush life with Drake and smokin’ hot models would leave a 15-year-old me awe-stuck. Enjoy basking in Manziel’s presence while you can, kids.
