Jon Jones, Daniel Cormier Absolutely Went OFF On Social Media, Trading Some VICIOUS Insults

Daniel Cormier, the current UFC Light Heavyweight Champion, and Jon Jones, the first fighter in UFC history to ever be stripped of a title twice, have hated each another for a very long time. Ever since UFC 182 when Cormier lost to Jones by unanimous decision the two have just simply not gotten along.

Much of that today has to do with the fact that Jones cost Cormier a big payday at UFC 200 when Jones was suspended (again) for a doping violation. Now, with their rematch finally scheduled to take place on July 29th at UFC 214 the two of them have been going at it hard.

Jones has been pretty unapologetic about his drug use, even claiming other big name athletes do it, while Cormier has been all over Jones, saying at the UFC’s spring press conference in Dallas, “Is he really going to be in Anaheim? Is this guy really going to go to the fight? Is this guy going to mess this up again by doing steroids or snorting cocaine or sandblasting prostitutes?”

Yikes.

Fast forward to Monday night and Cormier posted a photo of himself training with All-American wrestler Jacob Kasper along with some comments aimed directly at Jon Jones and “his doped up head.”

“Wrestling with @jacobakasper has been amazing. This is the best my wrestling has felt in a real long time. If I didn’t take him down at will last time I know I’m gonna dump him on his doped up head this time. I’ll take his ass down when I want to. Hope ur working off ur back a lot Johnny boy!! I’m gonna smash this bum! DC #andstill.”

Jones obviously caught wind of it and decided to drop a few comments on Cormier’s Instagram post, even alerting him to the fact that he was doing it.

Cormier then followed up by reposting many of Jones’ comments along with another message…

“And they say I’m obsessed. Dance for me boy, keep commenting on all my shit. Watch me work. Show those insecurities. In your moment of judgement you pay close attention to the one that’s handing out the punishment. You got two weeks. Play my game! P.S You have a limp Dick and Horrible leg Genetics. #andstill #twoweeks #downgoesjones #urdonejonnyboy.”

Cormier than followed that up with a few Twitter blasts, just for good measure…

Naturally, Jones then had to fire back on Twitter too…

Forget McGregor vs. Mayweather, I can’t wait for UFC 214 on July 29th. That’s when the real battle is going to take place.
