The reason the NBA Dunk Contest sucks so much dick — it’s just wolfing down more and more dicks each year — is because 1) superstars like LeBron James refuse to participate and 2) everyone basically just repeats dunks from the past because there’s only so much a human can do with a basketball. But this video suggests that maybe we haven’t reached the end of days for new dunks just yet.
Enter 6’1 Jordan Kilganon who has a “lost and found” ball-trick dunk that is more impressive than anything I have ever seen. Sure free throw-line dunks are sick and putting the ball through your legs takes a fair amount of coordination, but I’d argue that Kilganon’s dunk is light years past both. Watch. Be amazed. And then wait until someone attempts it in the 2016 NBA Dunk contest. Because that’s obviously going to happen.
