Earlier this week, Falcons star wide receiver Julio Jones lost a $150,000 diamond earring after falling off a jet ski at Lake Lanier in Georgia. Of course Jones was not happy about losing his expensive earring in the lake and hired an entire dive team to look for it.

Unfortunately, the dive team was unable to recover Jones’ earring.

“It’s down in crevasses and nooks and crannies,” salvage diver Richard Pickering told WXIA. “It’s impossible—absolutely impossible.”
Bobby Griffin, a member of the dive team, described the bottom of the lake as “pitch dark.” There were also trees below the surface that made their quest even more difficult.
Jones is set to make $11.5 million this season, so losing $150k isn’t that big a deal.
I hope one day I’m rich enough to hire a dive team to find my lost $100k+ diamond earring.
