Chicago Cubs center fielder Junior Lake hustled his way into a nasty collision with the unpadded Wrigley Field wall last night. You see, even the Cubs’ home stadium hates the Cubs.
What a franchise.

Lake suffered bruises to his head and knee but showed no signs of a concussion. All things considered, that’s pretty good news.
The ivy-covered walls and green utility gates on Chicago’s north side are fun and charming to look at, but a bitch on the human body. Considering the architecture is a much bigger drawn than the team on the field, an injured member of the home team is just the cost of doing business.
