Carolina Panthers rookie wide receiver Kelvin Benjamin has a poor grasp of NFL rules. At least he did until yesterday, when his team tied the Cincinnati Bengals.
Benjamin, a freakish athletic talent out of Florida State, was apparently unaware this was a potential outcome.
“I didn’t know you could tie in the NFL,” Carolina rookie wide receiver Kelvin Benjamin said.
To be fair, it is his first season in the league. And he’s a wideout, not a quarterback like, oh, say, Donovan McNabb.
Let this be a reminder that you, the chump at home, is likely more invested the outcome of a sporting even than the actual participants.
