Whew, it’s getting dusty in here.
After winning the MVP award today, Kevin Durant spent 10 minutes detailing his and his family’s challenges before arriving at such an elevated state. He was funny, too, telling Kendrick Perkins that he “hated him” before he came to OKC and ragging on himself for being so emotional.
But ultimately this is probably—as some are saying—the best and most affecting MVP speech ever given, an awesome statement from a humble guy who seems deserving of all his success. How can you hate KD?
