Until Proven Otherwise, You Cannot Tell Me That This Jet Blue Baggage Handler Is Not Kobe Bryant

Just last year, Kobe Bryant ranked 33rd on Forbes 2016  40 Richest Entrepreneurs Under 40, boasting a net worth of $350 million. Bryant raked in $680 million in salary and endorsements during his two-decade career and currently sits behind only Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Karl Malone in the NBA’s all-time leading scorer list.

Since retirement, Kobe has apparently pick dup a gig with Jet Blue as a baggage handler, with hourly wages ranging from $11-$13. Gotta make ends meet, I guess. Private jet fuel is expensive.

After watching that video no less than 10 times, I’m still not convinced it’s not the Mamba. That smile, the freshly manicured bald head, hell, his voice even sounds identical. So I’m going to go ahead and draw the conclusion that after being one of the most recognizable athletes on the planet for 20 years, Kobe is just looking to melt into obscurity like the rest of us.

Real talk though, Jet Blue Cobe should use that face for profit (See: Klay Thompson doppelgänger).

Matt’s love of writing was born during a sixth grade assembly when it was announced that his essay titled “Why Drugs Are Bad” had taken first prize in D.A.R.E.’s grade-wide contest. The anti-drug people gave him a $50 savings bond for his brave contribution to crime-fighting, and upon the bond’s maturity 10 years later, he used it to buy his very first bag of marijuana.
