New York Knicks’ Draft Pick Kristaps Porzingis Guesses Rap Lyrics. Gains Serious Street Cred

Is there anyone in the NBA that’s getting shat on more than New York Knicks soon-to-be rookie Kristaps Porzingis?

From being booed and making a damn kid cry following the team’s selection of him as the No. 4 overall pick in this year’s draft, to waiting on the sideline to even appear in a game because of an injury, the big Latvian is still a mystical, foreign creature who is yet to still be figured out.

Although America—or, more specifically, NYC—might not be too familiar with Porzingis, yet, that doesn’t mean that the 19-year-old doesn’t know a thing or two about our culture.

Sure, Kristaps Porzingis might not know the difference between Manhattan and the West Village, but that he sure can rap as if he was a born New Yorker.

Sharing his love (and skill) for free-flowing, the guy rapped along with Chamillionaire’s song “Ridin’,” then earned praise from a few fellow Latvian bros when they released a rap anthem about him, which might just become your new, summer bop!

Maybe most impressive, though, is the above video of Kristaps going one-on-one to put on display just how in-tune he is with the hip hop game, uncovering a series of rap lyrics for the camera.

Look, he might not be the most beloved player in the city of New York, and his hoops career might go to shit, but I’ll be rooting for Kristaps Porzingis solely off of the street cred he’s coming in hard as fuck with.
