High School Baller Who Signed To UCLA As A FRESHMAN Casually Pulls Up From Half Court And Drills It

What were you doing when you were a freshman in high school? If you’re like me, you were probably trying to catch a peek of girls’ thongs in class and trying to grab the basketball net in gym class.

Well, Lamelo Ball is a bit different.

Before ever playing a high school basketball game, 13-year-old LaMelo Ball verbally committed to play at UCLA, where his two older brothers play. His older brothers Lonzo, a five-star Class of 2016 recruit, and LiAngelo, a three-star recruit in the 2017 class will be on Bruins’ head coach Steve Alford’s roster when LaMelo arrives.

Now a sophomore, LaMelo helped Chino Hills High School (Cali) win its 47th straight game on Monday night, and did so in flashy fashion. In the middle of the game, LaMelo pointed twice to the half court line to signal to the defender where he was going to pull from, and sunk it with ease.

Matt’s love of writing was born during a sixth grade assembly when it was announced that his essay titled “Why Drugs Are Bad” had taken first prize in D.A.R.E.’s grade-wide contest. The anti-drug people gave him a $50 savings bond for his brave contribution to crime-fighting, and upon the bond’s maturity 10 years later, he used it to buy his very first bag of marijuana.
