Lane Kiffin Trolls Tennessee Fans Begging Him To Come Back After Greg Schiano Mess

After yesterday’s Greg Schiano mess where Vols fans took to the streets to protest the hiring of the Ohio State defensive coordinator, it seems like Tennessee fans have talked themselves into wanting to take back Lane Kiffin, who left the team after one season back in 2009.

Here is CBS Sports’ Dennis Dodd making the case for Tennessee to hire Kiffin

Tennessee would have been getting a square-jawed, no-nonsense guy who had a double-nickel hung on his defense this season by Iowa.

Amazingly, with Kiffin, Tennessee would know exactly what it is getting. Quirky, cocky and tweet-obsessed beats national political firestorm any day.
Oh yeah, and Kiffin is a proven winner as a college coach. As Lane himself likes to point out, his career winning percentage (.642) is similar to that of Brian Kelly at Notre Dame (.677).

Listen up, Vols. Kiffin wants to drive your car. Again. He’d tell you that, I bet.
All Tennessee has to do is call him. A coach who played the Vols like a violin for one season in 2009 before bolting for USC looks like the voice of reason these days. Can all be forgiven?

Kiffin had a hilarious response to Dodd’s article.

Of course Kiffin’s response just led to more begging from Tennessee fans.

It sems like Kiffin has a cushy job at FAU but Tennessee is a powerhouse school and can offer him way more money, but I still doubt Lane would go back to Tennessee at this point.
