Be careful what you say on social media because you never know if one day it’ll come back to bite you in the ass. That’s what happened to these two first round picks on Thursday.
The Lakers 27th pick Larry Nance Jr once called Laker legend Kobe Bryant “a rapist” in a twitter post that was uncovered after he was drafted. The post is from 2012 and references Bryant’s rape allegations from 2003.
Nance isn’t the only one who might have to do a mea culpa after tonight. Bobby Portis once tweeted “Fuck D-Rose and the Bulls #teamheat”.
You can guess which team drafted Portis on Thursday night.
And you wonder why coaches don’t want players to use social media.
Update Lakers GM Mitch Kupchak said he was aware of Nance’s tweet from 2 years ago and that he and Kobe would have to work it out themselves.
LAL GM Mitch Kupchak said he & team PR boss John Black addressed Nance's Kobe tweet. Said Kobe & Nance will have to work it out themselves.
