LeBron James Will Opt Out of His Miami Heat Contract, Become a Free Agent
Did you enjoy the first Summer of LeBron? Those frantic nights losing sleep, wondering where he’d be taking his talents. Ah, the memories.
Do you watch The Decision on the ‘reg, admiring Jim Gray’s hard-hitting interview? Do you miss the excitement of not knowing?
Well, you’re in luck because it’s about to all go down again.
ESPN’s Chris Broussard reports that James will opt out of his Miami Heat contract and become a free agent.

Before we all bust out our Jump To Conclusions mats, it should be pointed out the Heat expected this move. James, like every other player on the planet, wants to optimize his value on the open market.
A return to the Heat is still quite possible. Let’s not move him to Cleveland, Chicago or New York just yet.
On the other hand, this is the beginning of what promises to be a fun saga tailor-made for a massive Bristol boner.
Strap in for a wild ride in the coming weeks.
