There are giveaway and promotional nights in baseball all the time, but the Lehigh Valley IronPigs might have just melted away all the other attempts—and are bringing the melted cheese by #RaisingTheSteaks.
That’s because the minor league team announced today that they’re changing their name to “The Cheesesteaks” for the June 10th game as part of their Salute to Philly Night, breaking out some fucking tasty-looking unis that are straight fire!

Making the promo even more awesome is that they’re letting fans vote on what jersey the team should don that night, asking the question, “Onions or no onions?”

With Philly’s unofficial food being the cheesesteak, I’m not sure there’s a bigger honor than a baseball team wearing the sammich for a night, so good work by the IronPigs, err, Cheesesteaks for bucking the trend on boring old bobblehead nights.
